Hi-Genki with Chlorophyll- Chlorophyll used is taken from spriulina, a type of seaweed. Spirulina belongs in the same class as chlorella, but has an extremely thin and soft cellular wall, making it much easier to digest and absorb. It has a 95% absorption rate compared with 72% for chlorella. Spirulina contains vitamin B12, which fortifies the liver and fights anemia. Also contained is a pigmentary called phycocyanin, which is effective on fighting cancer.

Hi-Genki with Reishi- Chlorophyll kind with Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) added. Reishi has the ability to increase immunity in the body and is effective in controlling allergy, high blood pressure, auto-immunity disorder, tumor, etc. It could also stabilize blood sugar levels and helps in the prevention of myocardial infraction and cerebral thrombosis.

Hi-Genki with Glucan- Chlorophyll kind with Glucan.  Glucan is a low-molecular polysaccharide with smaller molecules. It easily dissolves in water and is absorbed in the body easily. It works directly on cells to stimulate their physiological activity. It has a powerful function to increase immunity, and invigorates function of the digestive tract which helps to cure constipation.

What is HI-GENKI (Brown Rice Enzymes) ?

HI-GENKI is an all natural food product. It is made by combining Brown Rice, and other natural ingredients in a proprietary formula, and then fermenting it to produce a granular form.

Rice, the Japanese people's staple food, originally meant brown rice, unprocessed and unrefined with skin and embryo sac undisturbed. Most of the rice consumed today is processed and hulled white rice, because brown rice takes time to cook, and is hard to digest if not chewed well. White rice lacks most of the nutrients, vitamins and minerals essential to keep our bodies healthy. HI-GENKI comes to the rescue, HI-GENKI is easy to take, and it helps digestion.

HI-GENKI is made from brown rice, employing old Japanese traditional fermentation technique, which produces enzymes. HI-GENKI is a health food that supplies necessary vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, while breaking down and eliminating harmful substances from the body. It comes in a granular form in small packets designed to be taken with each meal. It is odorless, flavorless, easy to take.

Are pesticides used to grow the Brown Rice used in HI-GENKI?

The brown rice used to make HI-GENKI comes from farms with which our company has contracts and thus is of reliable quality. Analysis results by the Japan Food Analysis Center show chemical pesticide residue "not detected." Our manufacturing facilities and central study lab are safe, clean and in immaculate condition. Our product has always been evaluated high for its nutritional value and effectiveness. Consequently, the Japan Health Food Association has recognized our product as the very first approved fermented food of vegetable origin.

When, how, and how much do I take HI-GENKI ?

Because HI-GENKI is a food, you can take it anytime, but for most people we recommend it after each meal to help digestion. Take it with water, lukewarm water, or tea (liquid temperature not to exceed 70 degrees C).

A standard amount is six packets per day to help maintain health. People with chronic illnesses, take nine to 18 packets per day until their ill conditions improves and then if you so desire gradually decrease the amount to the original six. There will be no side effects even if you eat a lot of HI-GENKI . HI-GENKI is not habit-forming - - you can take it anytime.

What is the storage or shelf life of HI-GENKI ?

Usually one year after manufactured date, but if you store in a cool, dry and dark place, the shelf life is longer. Do not store in the refrigerator or in the freezer. The shelf life of HI-GENKI with Glucan is shorter than the other types; it is best if used within 6 months from the date of manufacture. If the one you have becomes too old, use it as a fertilizer or add it to the liquid mixture to make pickles (nukazuke).

What is HI-GENKI effective for?

Since HI-GENKI is a food and not a medicine, the expression effective is not quite adequate. HI-GENKI will help make up deficiencies of unbalanced meals and will work to activate metabolism. Enzymes natural qualities are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, disintegration qualities blood cleansing, and invigorating cells; these qualities promote the body's natural healing power and are ideal for maintaining health.

Some people say that they get various reactions from eating HI-GENKI , and therefore does not agree with them. Why?

HI-GENKI activates cells in the body and the body will have a high rate of metabolism, and in the process a detoxification will take place temporarily. This detoxification is called "reaction stage for improvement," or "improvement of physical constitution." This is merely a condition before the body gets healthier and not to be interpreted that HI-GENKI does not agree with the body. Of course1 some people do not show or feel any reaction at all. Typical symptoms of light reaction are itchiness of the body, sleepiness, and fatigue. People with chronic illnesses might experience stronger reactions. These conditions should not be alarming or a cause for concern. While improvement of physical constitution takes place, some physical evaluation results temporarily register 'ups and downs - again, this should not be of concern.

Please bear in mind that not all people will require the same amount or type of Genmai Koso. Do a little experiment - try a different kind of HI-GENKI or increase/decrease the amount of HI-GENKI , and find the right amount/type to best Suit your need.

Why do some people experience temporary diarrhea, constipation, or inflated or bloated feeling of the stomach?

Since HI-GENKI contains beneficial micro-organisms such as yeast, lactic acid bacteria, bifidus, etc.,  a change in coil form bacterial plexus from these microbes is the possible cause.

If you experience diarrhea, decrease the amount

If you are constipated, and if it lasts too long, cleanse the bowels with the aid of a laxative to get rid of the built-up waste; then try a different kind of HI-GENKI or decrease or increase the amount you take.

To ease constipation, try the following: Drink 3 glasses of water immediately after getting out of bed in the morning, eat a good amount of seaweed (hijiki, konbu), and/or vegetables with fiber.

I feel nauseous after eating HI-GENKI - why?

HI-GENKI works to suppress secretion of pepsin, or gastric juice. Some people might experience temporary nauseous feeling; but enzymes contained in HI-GENKI help to regenerate/heal numerous tiny scars of the stomach lining. If your condition is severe, decrease the amount you take until you feel comfortable, then increase gradually.

Does HI-GENKI make you gain weight?

There are instances of weight gain due to the work of vitamins and enzymes contained in HI-GENKI . In addition, the secretion of digestive fluid become active, and you gain appetite and consequently eat too much. Also, even though your eating pattern or volume may not have changed you may still gain weight because the digestion/absorption rate increases and nutriments are effectively absorbed into the body.

Try to decrease the intake of rice, bread, noodles, sweets and Sweet fruit. At the same time eat more Seaweed, vegetables, fungus, and chew well and eat slowly. Also, try to take HI-GENKI before meals.

I have been eating brown rice. Is HI-GENKI still necessary?

Everybody recognizes that brown rice is good for your health but brown rice is rather difficult to cook because it takes time to prepare and is hard to digest, especially for those people with sensitive stomachs. Also by cooking, effective enzymes in the rice will be destroyed. But, by a fermentation process, HI-GENKI produces enzymes, yeast, and vitamin B's, and thus enhances the effect of the brown rice diet. You can expect greater nutritional value if you eat brown rice and HI-GENKI at the same time.

What are enzymes?

Any and all living organisms, such as plant, animals, microorganism, are maintained by enzymes catalytic action. All living objects cannot sustain life without the work of enzymes. Enzymes are produced inside the body cells, but as you get older the ability to produce enzymes slows down: even younger people, if they continue to eat unbalanced diets, the production of enzymes in the body will become insufficient, and will eventually trigger the adult-onset diseases.

Eating fresh and uncooked food, matured fermented food with enzymes will help supplement enzymes produced in the body.

Enzymes' important roles are:

1) Promote digestion/absorption

2) Energize body cells

3) Keep balance the microorganism in the intestines

  1. Enhance immune system and natural healing power
  2. Disintegrate and eliminate accumulated aged substance Types and numbers of enzymes are:

There are about 2000 known enzymes, and inside the body there a few hundred of them. Actually, there is an infinite number of them considering the fact that there are six trillion cells in the human body and each cell has a few hundred enzymes

Characteristics of enzymes:

1) Heat destroys enzymes - if heated over 70 degrees C, it loses its effectiveness,

2) Enzymes will not be effective without the help of vitamins and minerals

Vitamins and minerals' work as auxiliary enzymes:

              Vitamins

              Minerals

Vitamin B1, B2, 136, B12, biotin Magnesium1 calcium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese, selenium, etc.

I heard that if you continue to take enzymes, the body's own capabilities to produce enzymes become sluggish. Is this true?

Enzymes in HI-GENKI categorically belong to food; similar to those contained in food such as miso, shoyu, natto, grated daikon. Enzymes in HI-GENKI are compatible with enzymes produced in the stomach and intestines, and they work together in the body. Unlike other chemically produced enzymes, HI-GENKI enzymes work to heighten the effect in the body, not to weaken it

Why is it necessary to eat HI-GENKI ?

When we take a good look at today's diet, most of the food we eat are processed and treated with heat, so at least about half of the enzymes originally contained are destroyed. (All the enzymes will be destroyed when heated to a temperature over 70 degrees C.) And, most of the foodstuffs we buy, including seasonings, contain additives; vegetables have been grown with pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Even the air we breathe is contaminated. Our bodies need vitamins, minerals and enzymes to regain the impaired health stemming from the unhealthy environment in which we live. HI-GENKI helps to achieve what we call "The real healthy body."

Please explain the enzyme effects in HI-GENKI .

HI-GENKI has numerous enzyme effects- digestive action and ecological protection (anti-aging) action being the most noticeable. For a digestive action, it contains lipase, amylase protease, those which are high in digestive enzyme action. For an ecological protection action, it contains enzymes such as SOD, glutathione peroxidase, and Takalase . All enzymes will not work effectively without the help of vitamins and minerals, but enzymes in HI-GENKI work effectively because HI-GENKI contains ample amounts of essential vitamins and minerals.

I heard that if you eat HI-GENKI after drinking alcohol beverages that you won't feel sick or get hung over. Why?

It is thought that the reason for getting hung over is that your body produces acetaldehyde (which is the culprit in the process of breaking down alcohol.)  HI-GENKI contains vitamin B's to help break down acetaldehyde thus preventing a hangover. Not only that, but HI-GENKI also protects the liver. But excess drinking eventually leads to various ill effects. Drink in moderation.
